The History of
MOON OVER SALEM

In 2022, Oh Nice, Shows and Cheap Beer Booking Started “Hope Fest”. Taking place over two days in Revere the festival was a full benefit for “Hope For The Day” a Chicago-based non-profit organization focusing on proactive suicide prevention. The next year we moved to our permanent home in downtown Salem, MA and changed our benefit to support NAGLY, the North Shore Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth. Who proudly serve youth kindergarten to age 23, providing Social/Emotional & Mental Health support. In 2024, Oh Nice, Shows and Cheap Beer Booking joined forces to found MOON (Music Organizers of the Northshore) a non-profit dedicated to supporting local music. We changed to a partial benefit model, so we could pay the bands playing as well as fund our Rising Artist Scholarship and as of 2025 our All Ages Sober Venue, Moon Base One.
